TWIYO is excited to announce it has just become a proud member of the Pledge 1% movement.

Pledge 1% is a global initiative in which companies commit to giving back to the community, regardless of the size of the business. It is about building a universal movement of corporate philanthropy and social responsibility.

The movement challenges individuals and companies from all over the world to be a force for good, pledging 1% of their equity, profit, product, and/or time to a charitable cause.

The Pledge 1% program provides TWIYO as a company and its team members the opportunity to give back to the community. We believe the world is your oyster, and we believe that giving back is essential. As we strive to be a catalyst for positive change it only made sense to be a part of this movement. We are pledging to donate 1% of our company value, 1% of our profit, and 1% of our time to non-profit organizations, or B Corp-certified businesses.

We have chosen to donate 1% of our profit to international non-profit organization, Kiva. Through Kiva, we will be providing microloans to entrepreneurs in struggling communities to help their businesses grow and inject money into their local economy. We see this as highly aligned with our business purpose and believe it will maximise the value of our modest contribution overtime in perpetuity.

As part of our 1% time pledge, TWIYO will take on one pro bono client per year, while our team remains under 25. As our team continues to grow, so will the scope of what we pledge, and we look forward to seeing how this expands as the business develops.

The Pledge 1% movement exemplifies how a small corporate commitment can make a huge impact.
